I am wondering if anyone has tried or knows much about working with DotSpatial using C# / Mono / MonoDevelop / Ubuntu Linux? Is it even possible?

I have a new programmer, Carlos, who should be starting to work on Mono compatibility. We will try to keep progress reported here.

Hi, I'm Carlos and I am on the case. Start watching this forum because I'm going to be busy here while I learn the system.

Hello everybody,

I'm following MapWin for several years now, and as I'm mainly a linux-man, I'm happy to hear someone's been working on mono-compatibility. I've just downloaded the recent version again and tried to run the DemoMap.exe (fedora 16, mono 2.10) - with no success. Is there any runnable-version, from which to start or are there any examples how to start?

Thanks

Helmut
