displaying base maps from WMS layer

Hello All,

I'm brand new to DOT spatial but I've developed with the MapWinGIS activeX component.  I'm starting a VB.Net project for which I would like to overlay the analysis layers on top of high resolution imagery.  In the past I deployed applications with this imagery bundled as files for the known area of interest but would like to avoid the file size of this solution.  Is there any established means of displaying a WMS service as a layer in DOT Spatial?  Specifically I'm looking at some of the map services produced by the national map such as http://imsortho.cr.usgs.gov:80/wmsconnector/com.esri.wms.Esrimap/USGS_EDC_Ortho_Delaware?   or http://isse.cr.usgs.gov/arcgis/services/Combined/USGS_EDC_Ortho_NAIP/MapServer/WMSServer?

My knowledge of wms nuts and bolts is very limited and I'm no expert programmer.  Does this functionality already exist in DOT Spatial?  Is anyone working on this currently such that it might be included in a upcoming version?   If not has anyone done it who would be willing to share their code?  And barring that could anyone give me a conceptual plan for how to accomplish it myself?  Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you,

WMS, Bing, Google Maps, Yahoo Maps... as map layers in DotSpatial would be really cool.  That capability is on my wishlist too.
