Use of original NetTopologySuite with DotSpatial

We invite anyone interested in using the original NetTopologySuite along with DotSpatial to test our conversion code.

You can grab it either by

What do you mean by conversion code?  Have you updated the DotSpatial.Topology with a more recent version of NTS?  Which version of NTS (v1.X or v2.X) are you working with?

Dan had mentioned a while ago that refactoring topology was something he was considering.  Any connection?

DotSpatial has conversion code from DotSpatial.Data.Shape[Range] to DotSpatial.Topology.IGeometry instances and vice versa.

The mentioned nuget package has similar code to convert from and to DotSpatial.Data.Shape[Range] to GeoAPI.Geometries.IGeometry instances (implemented using NetTopologySuite). If you use the nuget package, you get NTS v1.12/GeoAPI 1.6, if you compile yourself you get NTS v1.12/GeoAPI v1.6+.

The code is not directly related to the post you mentioned, it started more as a proof of concept, that worked quite well. Frankly I don't know how far DotSpatial Team's considerations regarding the use of NTS instead of DotSpatial.Topology have gotten.

FObermaier,

We don't have a developer from the university dedicated to working on the conversion (or on DotSpatial), yet.
