Few more Questions

Hello again,

I followed your Tutorial in the getting started guide ( with When I use the Toolstrip and StatusBar I get the message that both are deprecated and I should "Load the DotSpatial.Plugins.MenuBar into a form that implements IHeaderControl instead." Can anybody tell me

  • how this is to be done
  • and how I can customize it, i.e. change the tooltips to German etc.

I tried to find out with the demo-project, but I did not succeed - in part as it is C# which is not my strong side.

Another point of interest would be how to invoke the print-layout plugin from a menu.

I would be very glad if sombody could gif some assistance.

Thanks and regards

Hello again,

I resolved to invoke the print-layout. I had to add references to DotSpatial.Controls.dll, which should be done if using a Map-control and DotSpatial.Extensions.dll. For those who are like me quit new to DotSpatial-Programming, here's the code I used:

' create a LayoutForm-Object
Dim objLayout As New LayoutForm()
' Assign the MapControl to it
objLayout.MapControl = ctlMap
' Display PrintLayout

Just wondering if you ever worked out a solution to the first item, the use of the Menubar plugin.

I've added a wiki page to help. Let me know what you think.

Why are the SpatialToolStrip and SpatialStatusStrip obsolete?
