Feature Set 'IndexMode'

Examining DotSpatial code, I found there are two implementations of the vector Feature Set: "indexMode" and "editMode". there is also a "DrawnStates" array. Reading previous discussions, "IndexMode" should be faster and have less memory usage.

However, I can't find any documentation how to create a point Feature Set in "IndexMode". If anybody has experience creating a new feature set in "IndexMode", can you please give me short sample code?

I think when you populate a FeatureSet in code by adding features, it must be in editMode.  But, reading it in from a shapefile I think is in indexMode.  So, one way to do it is create the feature set, save it to disk, then read it back in.  I could be wrong, but that is a thought.

Hi Kyle,

Thank you for your reply. Saving my feature set to a shapefile on disk and reading it back is indeed a way  how to get my FeatureSet in indexMode.

What I'm looking for, is a method to create a point FeatureSet in indexMode, without saving the FeatureSet to disk.
